Hello out there to the growing Dogs Duty community!

As newer members to the dog poop scooping scene, we here at Dogs Duty wanted to take a few moments to introduce ourselves, talk about what we do, and why it matters.

So let’s dig in!

The Face behind Dogs Duty

While the pup looking out at you from the Dogs Duty logo looks sweet and brimming with curiosity, don’t let it fool you - the dog behind that logo is a poop-making machine! (And really gassy, too)

Circular Logo

The Dogs Duty logo is based on our precious girl named Hazel, and you could say that Dogs Duty itself would not exist without her. As Hazel’s owners, and the co-owners of Dogs Duty, we are all too familiar with the never-ending natural cycles of Hazel (and likely your dog, too):

eat, poop, Mama and Papa forget to clean up the poop, Mama and Papa step in said poop.

And then follows at least twenty full minutes of scrunching our noses and failing to get all of the smashed turds out of our treads.

Sigh.

Then one day, it just hit us:

We can’t be the only ones experiencing this “joy” of dog ownership.

We absolutely love our dogs - it’s one of our defining features, you might say. And we will do everything possible to take care of them and give them the best lives they can have.

But even we forget to pick up their poop. Even we prioritize other things over this smelly chore - things like family time and hiking with the dogs. There must be other dog owners out there like us, right?

And thus, Dogs Duty was born. A “pet waste management business” to sound professional. A turd picker upper business if you want to call it for what it is.

In all seriousness, we are willing to do the dirty work for you because we realize that life is short, and you have better things to do than pick turds up out of your grass (or forget to do that and then waste time picking them out of your shoes.)

Although the work might not be glamorous, we take pride in doing a great job. The Bible says, “whatever you do, do all to the glory of God,” (1 Corinthians 10:31, NKJV) and we think that being professional and dependable, cleaning your yard thoroughly, and prioritizing your pet’s health and safety are all worthy endeavors that, when done well, can bring glory to God.

Thus, you can be confident that our determination to provide you with high-quality work will always be from the highest of motivations.

To sign up, first fill out our:

That will give you an option to choose a clean up frequency that suits your needs. We can visit your yard:

  • Twice a week
  • Once a week
  • Twice a month
  • Once a month
  • Or, one time only

This will also give you the price or our services, which depend upon the cleanup frequency you chose and the number of dogs you have.

Upon receiving your quote, you should receive an email with additional steps to finish your client onboarding by creating an account, verifying your subscription selection, and submitting payment. Please call us at (440) 600-1006 if you need any help with this process.

After that, we will reach out to you to schedule your initial clean up. On the day we are set to clean your yard, we will give you about a 60 minute notice of our arrival.

Based on the instructions you provide to us, we will let ourselves into your yard, efficiently pick up any poop piles using clean and disinfected equipment, say hi to the friendly dog if he or she is in the yard, and lock the gate behind us. We make sure to take a picture of the shut and locked gate before we leave the yard so that you have peace of mind about the safety and condition of your pet and yard.

Finally, we will double bag your dog’s waste and place it in your trash cans.

Pretty straightforward, right?

Trust us - it’s worth it.

Why Choose Dogs Duty?

When it comes down to it, owning a dog is one of the greater joys in life.

They’re a living, breathing being, making choices (and poop) every day. They can’t even speak our language, and yet day in and day out nothing excites them more than getting to spend time with us. Whether it’s going for a car ride, playing a game of fetch, or going for a walk in the woods, they live for us.

Do you really want to waste the short but precious time you have with them by spending your time outside of work cleaning up their feces?

Let us give you the one thing in life that you can never get back: time.

With Dogs Duty, you can get back to smelling the roses - not the poop.
