Frequently Asked Questions
Are your dog waste removal services offered all year round?
Yes! Our services are offered year round, hot or cold, rain or shine. However, please be aware that if weather conditions make it too dangerous for us to get to your yard, services will be cancelled for that day and we will resume on your next scheduled day. In this event, a refund will not be issued as we will be picking up double doody on that next service day.
Does Dogs Duty scoop the entire yard?
Yes! We clean whichever areas of your yard you want us to clean (usually, where your dog does its business). Please be aware that there may be an upcharge for yards larger than 1/2 acre.
Does signing up for your services mean I have to sign a contract?
No! Dogs Duty does not require the signing of any long-term contracts. If you sign up for our recurring services, you may choose to pause or cancel your subscription at any point in time. Note that you will be billed on the first of the month before services occur. If you cancel after being charged for the month, we are unable to offer a refund for the remaining services that month. However, we are more than happy to complete the remaining clean-ups.
Can my dogs be in the yard while you clean?
Yes! As long as they are friendly, your dogs can be in the yard while our team member cleans up after them. We love dogs (it's why we're in this business!) and we would love to meet and share a treat (with your permission) with your furry best friend. We ask that you leave aggressive dogs in your home while we are cleaning to keep everyone safe.
How do I know that my dogs will be safe?
Dogs Duty takes many precautions to ensure that your dog stays out of harm's way. After each yard we clean, our techs use a kennel-grade disinfectant to clean all of their tools and their shoes to prevent the spread of any germs or parasites from yard to yard. Before we leave your yard, we will take a picture of your closed and locked gate and email it to you. With Dogs Duty, you can have peace of mind knowing your yard is clean and your dog is safe.
How do you get rid of the waste?
After we clean your yard, we will double bag all of the dog waste we collect and place it in your trash can. If your cans are not accessible to us, we will leave it neatly on the side of your house.
Can I choose the day you come to clean?
While you can request to have us clean your property on a specific day of the week, due to our busy schedules we may or may not be able to accommodate that request. But we will certainly try!
Will you tell me the exact time you'll arrive?
Our team member will send you a text with about a 60 minute notice of their arrival to your yard. If you are the first stop on their route, your notice will likely be within 15-30 minutes since we start early and don't want to disturb your sleep with an early notification.
Is Dogs Duty fully license and insured?
Yes! Dogs Duty has all of the state licensing and liability insurances that are required to operate our business and to safely and effectively care for your property.
What are your rates for servicing my property/community?
Our rates vary depending on the services you require. Please fill out our consultation form so that we can get in touch with you and determine how we can best meet your needs!
Does Dogs Duty scoop the entire property?
No. As part of our commercial offerings, we will clean a 10-foot radius around your pet waste disposal stations. We will also scoop poop in any specific community areas that you designate. Unfortunately, there is not enough time in the day to scoop the whole community!
How quickly does Dogs Duty install pet waste stations?
Before installing a pet waste disposal station, we first have to contact the city to be certain there are no gas, electric, water, or other lines beneath the waste station. As soon as we get the all-clear, the amount of time required to install disposal stations depends on the number of stations being installed. Typically, once scheduled, we try to have all stations installed within one to two business days.
How often do you service the property?
You can select a frequency of services when you sign up, which includes two times per week, once per week, two times per month, and once per month. If your community is particularly fond of dogs and cleaning two times per week is not enough, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your additional needs.
Can I choose the day you come to service our property?
While you can request to have us clean your property on a specific day of the week, due to our busy schedules we may or may not be able to accommodate that request. But we will certainly try!
